The Mobility Business Unit sells various synthetic resin raw materials and products, glass fiber, carbon fiber, hydrogen tanks, and other products for automotive parts and other industrial applications. We offer various logistics proposals based on our customers’ sales strategy and needs, assist with the development of materials and parts, and provide support for our customers’ overseas expansion and sales of their products by utilizing our network with Mitsui & Co., Ltd.’s overseas offices.

Synthetic Resin Raw Materials Business (for Mobility)
We sell various synthetic resin raw materials, including engineering plastics and polypropylene, in a wide range of business fields centered on the automotive industry.
We provide professional proposals for various resin materials and parts in finding solutions that utilize customers’ strengths, from the initial mobility parts development and design stage, and provide our logistics functions by utilizing the Mitsui & Co. group networks to meet needs from customers’ sites in many countries worldwide.

Fuel Cell Hydrogen Tank Business
With the needs to respond to environmental issues growing internationally, electrification of powertrain systems has also been accelerating in the mobility field. We will promote various development projects together with our customers in order to respond to technological innovations, such as CASE. We provide support for the development of ever-advancing mobility products by exerting the comprehensive strengths of Mitsui & Co. group, not only for the supply of parts but also for, in particular, promotion of the sale of products related to the trends for EVs and FCVs (e.g., hydrogen tanks) in domestic and overseas markets.

New Materials and Products for Next Generation Mobility
To meet needs for various new roles and functions arising in the next generation mobility society, we provide various functions, from materials/products designing to development and sales of those, by exerting the comprehensive strengths of Mitsui & Co. Plastics that range from upstream to downstream fields, and based on the global network of Mitsui & Co. group.
We focus especially on development of light materials and electrical equipment, as well as creation of a comfortable living space, and strive to resolve issues by developing new materials and new processing methods and connecting our customers to each other.
